The ring could be a bit larger. It’s still easy to put on. I can’t comment on how long it will last, as I only change my cage weekly.
Nach ausführlichen Test mehrerer Käfige bin ich für mich zu dem Schluss gekommen, dass Käfige mit festen Ringen bei der Größe meiner Hoden eher problematisch beim Anlegen sind. Bei den Vertretern mit variablen Ringen bin ich auch auf Konzepte gestoßen die so ihre Tücken haben. Vor allem Konstruktionen mit einseitig offen Schlitzen zur Justierung führen gerne mal zu eingeklemmter Haut. Auch das verschließen mit lose beiliegenden Schlössern hat bei mir nicht unbedingt zu Begeisterung geführt.
Dieses Produkt umgeht all diese Probleme durch seine clevere Konstruktion. Der Einstellbügel hat Kreisrunde Löcher, statt Schlitzen, der Käfig ist fest mit dem Ring verbunden und das Schloss fest in der Konstruktion integriert. Ursprünglich hatte ich auf Grund der insgesamt sehr soliden Ausführung Bedenken wie man aus dem Gefängnis entkommen kann wenn sich das Schloss auf Grund eines defektes nicht öffnen lässt, aber auch das ist kein Problem, das gesamte Schloss lässt sich mit einer Zange aus dem Käfig herausschrauben und gibt damit den Bügel frei. Für Puristen sei hier Entwarnung gegeben ein unzulässiges Entweichen aus der Kontrolle der dominanten Person ist damit nicht Möglich, da die Zange ganz sicher Spuren am Schloss hinterlassen wird.
